Unknown people have caused an estimated damage of up to 300,000 euros to a school in Denzlingen, Baden-Württemberg.

The perpetrator or perpetrators gained access to the school between Monday evening and Tuesday morning, the police said.

A door was forced open, a spokesman said on Thursday.

In a classroom on the second floor, the unknown suspects are said to have blocked the hand basin with paper towels.

They then left the tap running.

The water then seeped down to the ground floor.

A ceiling panel is also said to have come loose.
