Among the 71 certified technicians and senior technicians in the entire section, 29-year-old Wu Mengxuan, an employee of the Laibin Line Inspection Work Area of the Nanning Works Section of the Nanning Bureau of State Railway, is the only female technician.
At the beginning of his career, Wu Mengxuan set a small goal for himself: to work hard to learn business skills and become a technical expert.

In his daily work, Wu Mengxuan often carries books such as "Safety Rules for Normal Speed Railway Works" and "Rules for Repair of Normal Speed Railway Lines" to understand the next day's work plan in advance and read relevant books for preview.
When she encounters a problem that she doesn’t understand, she humbly asks the teacher in the team for advice.
From practical training to theoretical brain training, from monthly exams to on-the-job training, she actively signed up and actively participated, seizing every opportunity to improve her skills.
As a front-line female worker, Wu Mengxuan never flinched when faced with a difficult working environment.
Even if the temperature of the track in summer is as high as 40 or 50 degrees Celsius, she can work side by side with her colleagues to complete the inspection tasks.
"Work together with everyone, and don't let others call us lazy." His father's words are still in his ears, always spurring Wu Mengxuan.
"Not one foot missing, not one foot missing" is Wu Mengxuan's working principle.
During her work, her rigorous work attitude ensured the accuracy of on-site data such as track line geometry, track frame structure, and guard rail rim groove width.
When preparing for the technician exam last year, Wu Mengxuan was timid at first, not knowing whether he could do it.
"Later, I gradually adjusted my mentality. During the preparation period, in order to calm myself down and study, I closed the video APP and Moments on my phone." Wu Mengxuan said.

In order to successfully pass the skill level certification examination, Wu Mengxuan gets up at six o'clock every morning to memorize the "General Speed Railway Work Safety Rules" and "General Speed Railway Line Repair Rules" and goes to the training ground at seven o'clock to continue practicing.
Knowing that his level of implementation of all-project inspection of turnouts was lacking, Wu Mengxuan practiced repeatedly, summarizing while practicing, until he became very proficient.
In order to find time to study, Wu Mengxuan continued to practice during his lunch break. He returned to the dormitory at night and continued to review and recite theoretical knowledge until two in the morning.
After unremitting efforts, Wu Mengxuan finally stood out from the railway line worker technician vocational skills level certification examination in 2023 and became the first female technician in the Nanning Public Works Section and the only female technician in the section.
In the seven years since he started his career, Wu Mengxuan has always adhered to the self-discipline principle of "being down-to-earth, seeking truth and pragmatism, enduring hardship before enjoying", and devoted himself wholeheartedly to his work with the firm belief and determination of "choosing a career for the rest of his life".
Talking about the future, Wu Mengxuan said that she would concentrate on her next dream--senior technician.
