  As one of the parallel forums of the first Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Marine Industry Development Forum and China-ASEAN Maritime Industry Development Forum, well-known experts and scholars from scientific research universities across the country such as Sun Yat-sen University, as well as Hong Kong and Macao, and the National Institute of Marine Research, Representatives of corporate elites gathered in Zhuhai to conduct in-depth discussions on the research and development progress of marine biomedicine, existing bottlenecks, and how to promote the development of the marine biopharmaceutical industry in Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao, to promote the intersection of science and technology and finance in the marine pharmaceutical field in Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao, and to promote synergy develop.

  At the forum, experts and scholars such as Researcher Liu Yonghong of the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Associate Professor Luo Wanjun of Macau University of Science and Technology, and Yu Jiulian, Assistant General Manager of Hong Kong Haike Biotechnology, focused on the activity discovery, large-scale preparation, pharmacological research, and druggability evaluation of marine active substances.   It is reported that biomedicine is one of the four pillar industries in Zhuhai City. It has traditional advantageous enterprises such as Livzon Pharmaceuticals, United Laboratories, and By-Health. Zhuhai City and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, High-tech Zone, and Jinwan District Policies to support the development of the biopharmaceutical industry have been introduced one after another, and measures such as "Hong Kong Trains Going North" and the "Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone" are officially closed and operational, will further promote the cooperative development of Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao.
