Several people were injured in a fire at the state initial reception center in Suhl.
“We currently have six injured people, some residents, some security guards,” said a spokesman for the state operations center.
He doesn't yet know exactly whether this is smoke poisoning - but it can be assumed.
The fire broke out in a room in the morning for an unknown reason.
The building in which the room is located has been evacuated.
Around 500 people are affected.
The MDR had previously reported.
The room has now been cleared and the building is currently being ventilated, the spokesman said in the morning.
It is still unclear whether the room is habitable again.
The criminal police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
