  Pingxiang City is located on the border between China and Vietnam. The only Friendship Pass among China's nine famous passes that still performs customs clearance functions is located here.

Mo Xianfen introduced that the Red Kapok Women’s Border Guard Team was established in 2019. It is the first women’s border guard team among the eight border counties (cities, districts) in Guangxi. It is composed of 9 female leaders and cadres from the Pingxiang City National Defense Mobilization Office, accounting for 10% of the total. 70% of the total number of people.

  After briefly explaining the mission, Mo Xianfen led the team members to start patrolling the border.

Mo Xianfen said that in recent years, with the country's investment in border areas, border patrol roads have basically been hardened. If it had been a few years earlier, the team members could only walk on dirt roads and climb rocks. A border patrol would take up to several days. days time.

  Thanks to the infrastructure construction in border areas, on some border patrol routes, team members do not need to bring their own dry food, and lunch can be delivered by vehicle to a location relatively close to the highway.

  In his spare time, Zhao Xianhua, deputy director of the Pingxiang City National Defense Mobilization Office, shared his border patrol experience with young team members.

Zhao Xianhua said that in the past, the patrol roads were muddy and thick wild plants covered some natural potholes, and she once rolled into the pits.
