In a case where a couple was arrested for killing their 4-year-old second daughter and older sister in their 40s by ingesting harmful chemicals, it was discovered that the couple had been offering food and drink to the older sister, and the Metropolitan Police Department We are investigating the possibility that they may have used this opportunity to mix in chemicals.

Suspect Kenichi Hosoya (43), a company executive in Tokyo's Taito Ward, and his wife Shiho Hosoya (37) are suspected of murdering their second daughter Miki (4) by ingesting the harmful chemical ``ethylene glycol.'' He was arrested again on the 6th for killing Kenichi's older sister, Minako Hosoya (41), by ingesting the same substance six years ago in April 2018.

At the time, Minako was living in an apartment owned by her father on a different floor from the suspect couple, and she was found dead on the floor.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the suspect couple had been offering food and drinks to Minako for some time, and that such SNS exchanges remained in place in April, the month of Minako's death. I found this out through interviews with people.

It is also believed that the duplicate key to Minako's room was kept at the office of her father's company, and that Kenichi was able to take it with him.

The Metropolitan Police Department suspects that ``ethylene glycol'' may have been mixed into the food and drink, either by handing it in or by using a duplicate key, and is investigating what happened at the time.

In response to the investigation, suspect Kenichi stated, ``I can't talk about it right now,'' and suspect Shiho is keeping silent.
