A carp with a heart-shaped head pattern was found in a pond at a hot spring facility in Kushima City, Miyazaki Prefecture, and it is gaining popularity.
The heart-shaped carp was found in a pond approximately 100 square meters in size at Kushima Onsen Ikoi no Sato in Kushima City.
The carp's entire body is white, and the red pattern on its head looks like a heart.
In a pond where about 50 carp, including dark colored carp with a body length of about 1 meter, swim, a white carp with a heart pattern, about 50 centimeters in length, stands out and is gaining popularity.
The heart-shaped carp was found by a visitor to the facility, but it is unclear how long it had been in the pond, so the facility believes it may have bred naturally.
A local woman in her 70s who visited said with a smile, ``It's rare and cute.I think something good will happen to it.''
Sadahiro Fujiwara, a staff member at the facility, said, ``Even young people come to see it because they think it's cute and will improve their luck in love.I hope many people come to see it.''
