Regarding relief for victims of the former Unification Church, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Moriyama attended the Religious Corporations Council on the 6th and announced the policy of designating the religious organization as a ``designated religious corporation'' in order to ascertain the status of its assets.

Once the designation is decided after consultation with the council, notifications are required before the real estate is disposed of.

Regarding the designation of religious corporations based on the special law, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology held a religious corporation council meeting on the 6th, consisting of academics and executives of religious organizations, and at the beginning, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Moriyama said, ``The former Unification Church will be designated as a special case.'' I would like to consult on the designation as a ``designated religious corporation'' as stipulated by law,'' and clarified the policy to designate it as a ``designated religious corporation.''

He added, ``We have carried out the procedures after carefully examining the collected materials and confirming that there was sufficient evidence to warrant the designation. We would like you to carefully consider matters such as freedom of religion, the appropriateness of the procedures, and the appropriateness of the punishment.'' I asked for their opinion.

Under the special law enacted in December last year, among the religious corporations for which the government has requested a dissolution order from the court due to violations of laws and regulations, corporations that are expected to have a significant number of victims will be designated as ``designated religious corporations,'' and their assets will be disposed of. The law includes the designation of corporations with concerns about concealment as ``Specially Designated Religious Corporations,'' so that their asset status can be ascertained.

After consultation with the Council, once the designation as a "designated religious corporation" is decided, the former Unification Church will be required to submit notifications before disposing of real estate, and will also be required to submit documents such as property inventory every three months. You will be asked to submit it.
