Europe 1 is proud to be associated with the seventh season of CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival.

The station will support the event from April 5 to 10, 2024 and will bring it to life for listeners on its antenna.

As revealed on our channel, it is the comedian Bertrand Usclat who will host the opening ceremony of the event.

The seventh season of the Cannes International Series Festival will begin on April 5 on the Croisette.

This year, a comedian will present the opening ceremony: Bertrand Usclat.

Comedian but also actor and director, Bertrand Usclat became known to the general public thanks to the mini-series

 and the film

with Ahmed Sylla.

"There is a lot of work"

“I am honored because I saw the previous editions, presented by Camille Chamoux, Kyan Khojandi or even Monsieur Poulpe,” reacts Bertrand Usclat at the microphone of Europe 1. “When I was told: ‘Are you would you like to do it?', I said 'yes' straight away before realizing that there was a lot of work and I panicked a little", he adds jokingly.

Bertrand Usclat does not yet know exactly what he is going to prepare for the opening ceremony: "It's paradoxical because on the one hand it takes a lot of time, but at the same time we don't have all the information about the ceremony. We put lots of ideas on paper and once we have the information, we start to make things a little more concrete. But that's the game of all ceremonies!"

Bertrand Usclat is obviously a big fan of series.

At the microphone of Europe 1, he confides that he is addicted to the series
