"Onegin"

Sarik Andreasyan worked on a new film interpretation of the novel in verse by Alexander Pushkin.

The script for the film was written by Alexey Gravitsky, who worked with the director on the projects “Unforgiven”, “Chikatilo”, “Life on Call” and others.

Tired of the social life of the dandy Evgeny Onegin, he goes to visit his sick uncle in the village.

Upon arrival, he learns that a relative has died.

As the only heir, the hero remains on the estate, where he tries to live separately and not communicate with his neighbors, among whom he is considered an eccentric.

Soon Lensky arrives in the village, Onegin begins a friendly relationship with him.

A new friend introduces Evgeny to the Larin sisters - Tatyana and Olga.

The filmmakers stuck to the original narrative.

Filming took place in the partially restored mansion of Baron Stieglitz in St. Petersburg.

At the same time, a stable and a forge corresponding to the 19th century were recreated in the Elagin Palace.

In addition, about 150 paintings were painted for the film, 2,000 authentic light bulbs were created imitating a candle flame, and more than 400 costumes, about 120 pairs of shoes, 30 designer hats, about 200 jewelry and stoles that met the standards of the era of the literary work were made for the characters.

“We initially decided that our film adaptation was a tribute to the great heritage.

It seemed to us that we do not have the right to take Onegin away from the classical form into a modern interpretation.

This is my directorial decision and our producer's desire to be a big, sweeping classic film.

I am making this movie not as momentary entertainment, but as a canvas that will remain for decades.

Our entire team is focused exclusively on such a result,” Andreasyan told Kinopoisk.

The central roles in the film were played by Viktor Dobronravov, Lisa Moryak, Denis Prytkov and Tatyana Sabinova.

As Prytkov told TV Mag, the most memorable moment during filming for him was the duel scene.

“It seems to me that there were not many takes, but the empty large field in white snow, the frosty wind and the silence of the forests are etched in my memory.

It’s too symbolic for me - the last shift and the death scene,” said the actor.

"Adam and Eve"

The plot of the fantastic comedy film centers on actress, style icon Marina and researcher Victor, who, due to the apocalypse, are left completely alone in the big city.

The relationship between them initially did not work out, but the heroes are forced to stay together.

Victor learns that there are other survivors in Yekaterinburg.

Together with Marina, they go to the Ural capital and along the way they find themselves in various adventures.

In the project directed by Ilya Farfel (“Faberge Egg”, “Desperate Shareholders”), based on the script by Sergei Kaluzhanov (“Major”, “Food Block”), Polina Maksimova and Dmitry Chebotarev play the roles of modern biblical characters.

According to Maksimova, after watching, viewers will get “a feeling of spring weightlessness in love.”

One of the tests, as the actress told TV Mag, was the search for deserted streets and the shooting schedule.

“The filming was difficult - we needed empty cities.

When are the least number of people on the streets?

Well, somewhere around 4-5 in the morning.

So we mostly filmed during this time.

I arrived at the set, of course, even earlier - an hour for the make-up costume and another time for rehearsal.

At 2:30-3 am I was already in the trailer on the set.

I got up even earlier, at 1:30 - I still had to get there.

We had such day shifts!

Sometimes they were interspersed with night ones.

When the shift lasts from 5 pm to 7 am.

It’s difficult to jump around like that,” she noted.

"Scarlet Sails" (L'envol)

The historical drama, produced in France, Germany and Italy, based on the novel of the same name by Alexander Greene, was directed by Pietro Marcello, who had previously filmed Jack London’s work “Martin Eden”.

This is the first film by an Italian director in French.

For his work, Marcello was awarded an award at the Seville European Film Festival.

As the filmmaker told Filmkrant, when creating the film he was inspired by the musicals of Jacques Demy “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” and “Donkey Skin”, in which operetta is presented as a form of cinema.

The portal's author, Hugo Emmerzell, called the film a fascinating hybrid of archival film, fairy tale and musical.

According to him, the film is not an exact adaptation, but a modern fable about the heroine’s coming of age and emancipation.

The ensemble cast included Juliette Juan, Louis Garrel, Raphael Thierry and Noemie Lvovsky.

The plot centers on Juliet, who dreams of seeing the big world and meeting a handsome prince who will take her far away on scarlet sails.

One summer morning, fate confronts her with the pilot Jean.

The film takes place between 1919 and 1939.

"Love at Second Sight"

A crisis overtook the marriage of Olesya and Danila: unfulfilled expectations, mutual reproaches, differences in understanding the purpose of the family and other disagreements became part of the couple’s life.

To brighten up busy everyday life, the heroes create fake accounts on social networks.

Among many users, they attract each other under other people's names and open up with a new side.

The relationships of heroes who are in love in the virtual world are crumbling every day in the real one.

The main roles were played by Ksenia Teplova and Alexander Sokolovsky, and their online versions were played by Regina Todorenko and Milos Bikovich.

The director of the comedy melodrama co-produced by Russia and Kazakhstan was Olzhas Nurbay (“Fraudsters”, “Sake”).

“This is a project about important family values, I’m sure every viewer will find themselves in this film.

We touched on a topic that worries each of us, and we will try to convey important things through the prism of a dynamic romantic comedy,” the director of Yellow, Black and White quotes.

"Roman Kostomarov: Twice Born"

The documentary project will show the heroic struggle of the athlete and Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov, who suffered a serious illness, as a result of which he lost both legs and hands.

“If someone told me that all this would happen to me, I definitely wouldn’t believe it and say that this is some kind of movie,” the press service of NMG Kinoprokat quotes Kostomarov as saying.

With the support of his family and loved ones, after 11 months the athlete again took to the ice with the “Carmen” program together with Tatyana Navka - they had previously won an Olympic gold medal with this routine.

The film will show the process of Kostomarov’s rehabilitation.

The director was Mikhail Shchedrinsky, the film became his debut.

“There are projects when working on which you understand that this is why you came into the profession.

In this film, I wanted to tell the audience not just the story of Roman Kostomarov’s illness,” the press service of the film company quotes the director.

— First of all, this is the story of an outstanding athlete who never gives up.

Even in the most desperate situation.

The story of a real man who does not feel sorry for himself, sets himself exorbitant goals and goes towards them through pain and despair.

This film is about the women who were next to our hero all the time - his mother and daughter.

And, of course, this is the story of the incredible love of Roman and Oksana.

I really hope that our film will inspire and give hope to the audience.”
