A double-decker bus crashed into a building in London.

The rescue workers were alerted in the morning, reported the British news agency PA, among others.

Paramedics then treated two people, one of whom was taken to hospital.

The incident occurred on New Oxford Street near the Tottenham Court Road subway station, a corner of the British capital where tourists also like to come because of the shops, museums and theaters.

Photos showed the front of the bus protruding into the building.

There was broken glass on the floor.

The BBC quoted a passer-by who reported that he heard an impact and thought to himself: "This is not normal." He then ran out of a neighboring shop with other people and saw the bus.

According to the report, the vehicle has now been removed from the scene of the accident.

No information has yet been given about the cause of the accident.
