At the end of 2000, under the leadership of his predecessors, He Yuling braved the severe cold and heavy snow of minus ten degrees Celsius to excavate a well-preserved tomb of a high-level nobleman from the Shang Dynasty.

When they used their frozen hands to clean an exquisite bronze ox statue with shovels, brushes and other tools, everyone exclaimed, "This is the only ox-shaped bronze container found in the Yin Ruins so far."

"But archeology is not about digging for treasure." He Yuling said.

Shortly after the field excavation ended, they formed a team, including experts in different fields such as human bones, animals, plants, metallurgy, cultural preservation, etc. After years of hard work, they revealed the mystery that was unknown more than 3,000 years ago.

He Yuling said that the bronze inscription indicates that the tomb owner is "Yachang".

According to scientific and technological tests, "Yachang" was a male, about 35 years old, and about 1.7 meters tall. The seven copper axes symbolizing monarchy and a large number of weapons buried with him indicate that he may have been a military strategist during his lifetime. The team found out about "Yachang" Numerous severe slashing wounds were detected on the skeleton, indicating that he had fought heroically.

“Archaeologists reveal the mysteries of the ancients like detectives, and that’s what captivated me and kept me going.”

Eight days ago, the new Yin Ruins Museum was officially completed and opened. Nearly 4,000 cultural relics were displayed in an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters, using new concepts and methods to systematically show the appearance of the bronze civilization more than 3,000 years ago.

At the beginning of curating the exhibition, He Yuling proposed to establish a special hall of Ya Chang's tomb, using 577 cultural relics to reveal the objects and people, and tell the story of "Yachang" to everyone.

Currently, the cute and naive "Yachang" Niu Zun, which He Yuling has always cared about, is in the C position of the exhibition hall. "Welcome everyone to a thousand-year appointment with Shang Wenming."
