Despite the
coercive atmosphere with which the State Attorney General's Office
has attempted to contaminate the most sensitive case for the interests of La Moncloa, and despite the Government's efforts to disavow the work of Judge Manuel García-Castellón, the Supreme Court agreed Yesterday we unanimously opened a case against Carles Puigdemont for his involvement in Tsunami Democràtic.
The High Court thus supports García-Castellón's investigation in the National Court and accredits the strength of the Est
law school
at a time when the Executive, which shows the deterioration of the
Koldo case
, finalizes an amnesty tailored to the fugitive, whom the Supreme Court, with all its jurisdictional authority, now singles out for his links to the assaults and riots promoted in 2019 by that anonymous platform in response to the sentence of the
processes
.
The Criminal Chamber, chaired by Manuel Marchena and composed of five magistrates of reputed prestige, considers that the events attributed to Tsunami
are included "without any doubt" in the crime of terrorism, contrary to what was stated by the President of the Government
.
Regarding those who have engaged in criminal activism that contradicts jurisprudence, the order includes at least a dozen sentences on street terrorism that consolidate its doctrine on this crime.
The magistrates focus on the blockade of the Prat airport and also remember the clashes that caused "very serious injuries" to agents of the State security forces.
The Supreme Court's decision not only reminds us of the seriousness of the crimes that the Government wants to amnesty, but also
constitutes a full-fledged disavowal of Álvaro García Ortiz
.
The maneuvers of the attorney general were evident when, after the surprising change of opinion of the prosecutor assigned to the case - revealed by this newspaper -, and after 11 Supreme Court prosecutors saw clear indications to open a case against Puigdemont and 12 considered terrorism crimes, The lieutenant prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Ángeles Sánchez-Conde, defended in her final report that there is no evidence to accuse Puigdemont of terrorism.
The court points out the error of the
number two
of García Ortiz by "assessing the evidence in isolation."
The embarrassment of the prosecutor in the
Tsunami case
It is part of Pedro Sánchez's desire to carry out the amnesty with an opaque negotiation
and under the spotlight in Brussels, even more so after the European Parliament, despite the obstacles of the socialists, has agreed to push for the European Union to prohibit amnesties and pardons for embezzlement.
In this context, it is essential to clarify all responsibilities, including those that affect the escaped leader of Junts.
The Supreme Court has spoken: Justice will always prevail.
