The interview generated such interest that the program was followed by an average of 655,000 viewers, achieving
a 7.1% audience share
.
For this reason, Risto Mejide wanted to start this Friday's program by thanking "the more than 2 and a half million people who at some point."
However, the presenter has also launched some of his usual taunts, directed at those media outlets that echoed the interview, but did not quote
Everything is a Lie
: "That contravenes the most basic rules of journalism."
What was surprising was when
Risto Mejide
took advantage of his complaint to charge against Mediaset, considering that the group where
Todo es Lie is
broadcast did not know how to value the importance of the interview.
And, according to
Risto Mejide
's complaint , many media outlets replicated the interview without citing Everything is a Lie because "it was sold without obligation to cite anyone."
"This is already a message to this house.
If this house does not value what it has, how are the rivals going to do it?
" the publicist indignantly reproached
Mediaset
.
"If you give away an interview in that way, no matter how much money you charge, you are wasting money. But that's because whoever has to pick it up," the presenter pointed out directly to Mediaset.
Next, the presenter once again emphasized that "Ábalos's interview left us with many pearls and the proof is the number of media outlets that have picked it up."
During the interview, Ábalos became emotional and cried as he showed his regret for leaving his political colleagues, highlighting the sense
of "
belonging and identity after having dedicated 43 years to the party
."
Despite the tensions and the current situation, Ábalos stated that "he will not get into controversies" and that his intention was to "retire from the media spotlight" after the interview in
Todo es lie
.
Ábalos also made reference to the pressure received from the PSOE to renounce his membership as a deputy, showing his surprise at what he considers "arbitrariness and insecurity" on the part of the party.
According to him, his resistance to resigning is based on avoiding becoming a "political corpse" and defending his integrity in the face of accusations.
