According to the scenes broadcast by Al Jazeera, members of the Civil Defense documented the moments before removing the child trapped under the rubble and how he was retrieved with difficulty in light of the narrow space in which the family members were crammed.

After being successfully extracted, the child looked like a skeleton after remaining under the rubble for all these days and under difficult conditions. He was also unable to speak a word during the journey he was transported from the place of his recovery to the hospital using a cart pulled by an animal.
