30 years ago, the third film in the series “The Naked Gun” was released in cinemas.

In 1994, in “The Naked Gun 33⅓,” Leslie Nielsen fooled himself one last time on the world's cinema screens in his signature role as the idiot policeman Frank Drebin.

Action star Liam Neeson will replace Nielsen, who died in 2010, and take on the lead role in the film, which is scheduled to be released in cinemas in 2025.

It is not known whether this is a remake or a sequel.

If you no longer know the funniest scenes from the first three films or - which would be a monumental gap in your education - never knew them, we can help.

Please.

Cigarette?

Numerous stars and starlets appeared in the film series, including Anna Nicole Smith, who was once known as the “bosom miracle,” and who made her film debut in “The Naked Cannon 33⅓

. ”

“Cuban?”:

Tobacco products were seen in the cinema even more regularly in the 1980s and 1990s than they are today.

This clip illustrates the trick of the “Kanone” films very nicely: verbal gags and jokes characterize almost every scene.

Recently at the dictators meeting:

How do you eliminate America's enemies of the state in one fell swoop?

Frank Drebin is sent over to them.

At that time, the topic of world politics was obviously still suitable as a joke.

Safe Sex:

Of course, the films weren't just fooling around; protection against sexually transmitted diseases, for example, was a big topic.

Sidekick:

Former football star OJ Simpson played Drebin's partner Detective Nordberg in the series.

Here a few bad guys want to surprise, but they act as semi-talented as usual.

The result: Among other things, he is riddled with bullet holes, shot, steps into a bear trap and also ruins his beautiful jacket with fresh paint.

No punch line: A few years later, Simpson was suspected of murdering his ex-wife and her boyfriend, one of the most famous criminal cases in US history.

Where are the earplugs?

Frank Drebin wants to prevent a crime at a baseball stadium.

In order to get a good view of the audience, the famous opera singer Enrico Pallazzo is quickly killed and his place is taken.

It's just stupid that Palazzo has to sing the national anthem before the game starts...

Well stolen:

The “Naked Cannon” films are peppered with satires of other popular films from the eighties and nineties.

Here, the legendary scene with the stroller from “The Untouchables” is... er... reinterpreted.

Bribes:

It's not just police officers who benefit from informants, it works the other way around too.

Not for romantics:

Frank and his great love Jane have separated.

When they meet in a bar, the pianist is supposed to play “her song” for her again.
