During the search of the home of former RAF terrorist Daniela Klette, investigators also found "heavy war weapons."

A spokesman for the Verden public prosecutor's office told the dpa on Thursday.

The seven-story building in Berlin-Kreuzberg was evacuated by the police on Wednesday evening.

Later, some residents of another house also had to leave their apartments.

The road was completely closed.

The closure was only lifted early Thursday morning.

When Klette's apartment was searched, weapons, pistol magazines and ammunition were found.

On Wednesday evening, forensic scientists brought a grenade out of the house, and on Thursday morning another potentially dangerous object was taken out and loaded into a special vehicle.

A third discovery followed later, as dpa reporters observed.

The former RAF terrorist Klette was arrested in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Monday evening.

She was in hiding for 30 years and is said to have lived in the capital for years under a false identity.

However, the name she is said to have used cannot be found on the doorbell at the entrance to the inconspicuous apartment building.

The Verden public prosecutor's office and the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office have been searching for Klette as well as the former RAF terrorists Burkhard Garweg, 55, and Ernst-Volker Staub, 69, for decades. The two wanted men have still not been caught.
