On the morning of the 29th, a fire broke out at a facility used by a religious group for fasting in Misato Town, Nara Prefecture, and one person died.

Police are working to confirm the identity and investigating the cause of the fire.

Around 8 a.m. on the 29th, an employee of a nearby hotel called the fire department to report that a facility run by a religious group in Misato Town was on fire.



Ten fire trucks and other vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished after about two and a half hours, but three buildings were completely destroyed in the fire, and according to police, one person was rescued and killed at the scene. He was confirmed dead.



There is one man living and working at this facility, and he has not been able to contact him since the fire.



According to the religious group, the facility was used by people for the purpose of fasting, and police are currently confirming the deceased and investigating the cause of the fire.



The scene is in the mountains about 3 kilometers from Shigi-Yamashita Station on the Kintetsu Ikoma Line.

The hotel employee who reported the incident said, ``There was fire and black smoke rising all the way to the roof.''
