A corporation that operates children's centers and after-school clubs across the country has been falsely reporting the number of employees to multiple local governments in Tokyo, and Shinjuku Ward has been accused of unfairly receiving business outsourcing fees. We requested a refund of 198 million yen from this organization.

Shinjuku Ward requested a refund of business outsourcing fees and other expenses from the Worker's Co-op Center Corporation in Toshima Ward, Tokyo.

Last year, it was revealed that this organization had falsely reported the number of staff at the children's centers and after-school clubs that Shinjuku Ward contracted to operate, and the Ward reported that the number of staff members was falsely reported from 2018 to 7 last year, when records were kept. We investigated the amount of money that the corporation had received unfairly up until February.

As a result, on the 28th, we requested a refund of 198 million yen, including business outsourcing costs and expenses incurred in investigating work conditions.

The Shinjuku Children's Center said, ``We are disappointed that a fraud involving children has occurred. In the future, we would like to strengthen our patrols at children's centers and after-school clubs.''

The organization commented, ``We are acutely aware of the magnitude of our social responsibility. We want to respond honestly to claims.''
