According to the police, the employee leaked bidding information to Takeuchi Construction, a construction company in Inzai City, regarding a bid ordered by the prefecture to rebuild a national highway in Narita City. He is suspected of accepting bribes after receiving approximately 1 million yen in cash on multiple occasions around October, as well as receiving entertainment worth 200,000 yen at an apartment near the prefectural office.



Kazumasa Takeuchi (51), the then president of Takeuchi Construction, was also arrested on suspicion of bribery.



Police have not revealed the identity of the two men as it would hinder the investigation.



In January, the former director of the Prefectural Kita-Chiba Road Construction Office in Narita City was arrested and charged with bribery for accepting cash from former President Takeuchi regarding public works ordered by Chiba Prefecture. , is the second prefectural employee to be arrested.
