The famous manga “Naruto” will be entitled to a live-action film adaptation, announced the American production company Lionsgate.

And it is Destin Daniel Cretton, director of the Marvel film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” who will be in charge.

manga will soon be getting its live-action adaptation.

This was announced by the American production company Lionsgate.

The live-action film will be written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, behind the hit Marvel film 

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. 

He will thus have the difficult task of adapting this classic Japanese manga of more than 70 volumes, created by Masashi Kishimoto.

The creator was also delighted with this news: "I became convinced that there was no better director than him for

Naturo

. By meeting Destin, I understood that he was a director open to "mind, who would accept that we cooperate in production", he wrote on his Twitter account.

“When I heard of Destin's attachment, it happened to be right after watching a blockbuster action film of his (Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, 2021) and I thought he would be the perfect director for Naruto!

Created in 1999, the manga tells the story of a young ninja who dreams of becoming Hokage, the leader of his ninja village.

It was serialized in the Japanese weekly magazine

Weekly Shonen Jump 

until 2014, with over 250 million copies sold worldwide.

Its anime adaptation has more than 700 episodes between 2002 and 2017. It is one of the most popular manga in the world, along with

Dragon Ball

and

One Piece
