After the preliminary examination results were announced, according to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education formulated and announced the basic requirements for preliminary examination results for candidates taking the national unified examination to enter the re-examination in accordance with the first and second regions (i.e., the national line).

Referring to the situation in previous years, the national postgraduate entrance examination is usually released around mid-March.

The admissions unit should determine and announce the initial test score requirements (total score by subject category or major, single subject score requirements) for candidates applying for the unit to enter the re-examination (i.e., the re-examination line).

The time, location, content, method, results use method, organization and management of the re-examination shall be determined independently by the admissions unit in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education.

The re-examination methods and procedures will be announced by the admissions unit.

In principle, admissions units should strengthen the management of the re-examination process by prescribing multiple sets of test questions and arranging candidates to randomly select test questions.

All re-examination work by the admissions unit should generally be completed before the end of April of the year of admission.

When the number of qualified first-choice students is insufficient, the admissions unit may organize adjustments.

All admissions units must accept transfer candidates through the Ministry of Education's "National Master's Student Admissions Reexamination Transfer Service System". It is strictly prohibited to accept transfer candidates through other channels.

The graduate admissions management department of the admissions unit shall uniformly publicize the list of proposed admissions.

After the public announcement, the admissions unit shall submit the proposed admission list to the provincial education administration department and education admissions examination agency for policy review. The provincial education administration department and education admissions examination agency shall promptly feedback the review opinions to the admissions unit.

The admissions unit shall report the approved admissions list to the "National Postgraduate Admissions Information Disclosure Platform" as required.

The final admission list and registration of freshmen students are subject to the information reported to the platform by the admissions unit.
