said goodbye this Saturday to the RTVE audience as presenter of a news program on TVE after three decades working in front of the cameras.

During her departure, she sent a message thanking her for the trust and for the company "all this time."

"Weekly Report will return next Saturday.

For my part, this has been all. Thank you very much for your trust and your company during all this time. Goodbye and good night,"

the journalist said when closing the program, after Thursday The public channel announced that Blanco would take early retirement, which will take effect on March 29.

In a statement on Thursday, RTVE highlighted the "legacy" that Ana Blanco leaves in the Corporation, "a house to which she will remain forever linked."

"With rigor and professionalism as the main hallmarks of its identity," the Corporation recalled that

Ana Blanco has presented the Telediario for more than three decades in almost all of its time slots,

and has participated in many of TVE's special programs, as well as in debates and information of the numerous electoral calls.

Since September 2023, the journalist has presented the veteran

'Informe Semanal',

a space that she also presented between 2007 and 2009. In addition, last fall she was also in charge of the documentary series

'Everything changes',

which analyzed the past, present and future of Spanish society.

Ana Blanco has been recognized with

awards

such as Antena de Oro, Ondas Award, Television Academy Award, TP de Oro, International Press Club Award, Manuel Alonso Visedo Communication Award, Pedro Antonio de Alarcón National Journalism Award, and the Golden Microphone, among others.
