“Anatomy of a Fall” won the César for best film on Friday, dominating the ceremony with five other trophies, including best director to Justine Triet.

won the César for best film on Friday, dominating the ceremony with five other trophies, including best director to Justine Triet.

These trophies give additional momentum to the film, Palme d'Or in May 2023 in Cannes, for the Oscars ceremony on March 10, where it is nominated five times.

Justine Triet and Anatomy of a Fall won a total of six Césars, finishing with that for best film.

Justine Triet, big winner of the evening, dedicated this prize to “all women”, including “those who have been hurt”.

“I would like to dedicate this Caesar to all women (...) to those who succeed and those who fail, those who have been hurt and who free themselves by speaking, and those who do not succeed,” declared the woman. who also became at 45 the second woman to win the César for best director.
