In Berlin-Spandau, people are said to have shot at each other from cars.

According to police, the vehicles were parked on the road.

Witnesses observed this on Thursday night, a police spokesman said in the morning.

According to initial findings, the alleged exchange of fire occurred around 2 a.m. in Haselhorst on Gartenfelder Straße.

One of the cars involved then drove off towards Paulsternstrasse, followed by the other.

The police said emergency services found several bullet holes in surrounding shops and in a parked car.

They also found bullet casings.

Investigators are currently assuming that sharp weapons were used.

No injuries have been reported yet.

The investigation into those involved and the background was ongoing.
