The PP demands explanations and an apology from RTVE for placing the tractor protest in front of its headquarters: "It is an insult to intelligence"

"Subliminal manipulation."

With these words, the TVE Libre Platform has defined the connection that the 24 Horas channel, of the public entity RTVE, has made in its 1:00 p.m. news program regarding the farmers' protests in Madrid.

The connection with a reporter has been established not at the Puerta de Alcalá, where a concentration of tractors was taking place, nor before the Ministry of Agriculture, the final point of the authorized route.

The connection took place in front of the PP headquarters on Génova Street

. "RTVE makes a live broadcast of the rural protests at the PP headquarters and makes sure it is seen. Weren't the tractor trailers against the EU and the Government?", denounced the TVE Libre Platform in a message on the social network .

"RTVE's manipulation has crossed all limits this afternoon,"

PP sources later assured. "Public television has opted for a live connection in front of the national headquarters of the PP, expressly focusing on the logo and mentioning the party itself, just at the moment when a column of tractors was circulating along Génova Street in the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture, central place of the protest," they detailed.

The same sources describe as

"an insult to intelligence"

what they consider the attempt to "pretend that public opinion believes that the tractor is against the Popular Party."

In addition to expressing their discomfort, these PP sources demand "an apology in all the network's news programs for trying to hold this party responsible for the protests of farmers and ranchers, especially when from the first moment it has supported their just demands and has shown a solidarity that the Government has lacked".

They assure from the Popular Party that "the head of RTVE News cannot act as the 23rd minister of Pedro Sánchez, who has already placed his former head of Communication at the head of the Efe agency." And they allude to the controversial role of José Félix Tezanos to affirm that "RTVE cannot be to the media what the CIS is to the demographic companies."
