Money, money, money: A man found a large amount of cash in Lower Saxony

A man found a bag containing more than 35,000 euros in a restaurant in Neustadt am Rübenberge in the Hanover region. The finder handed the bag secured with two leather straps and a padlock to the police, a spokesman said.
The officers carefully opened the bag and discovered cash worth a total of 35,750 euros.
It is still completely unclear who the money belongs to. It is now being determined whether the money may have been stolen.
If the owner of the bag does not come forward, the money will be handed over to the city, according to police. The man who found the bag waived a finder's fee.
