A movie director who was arrested for luring an aspiring actor to his apartment under the pretext of giving acting guidance and sexually assaulting her was said to have told the woman, ``Sometimes you have to get naked if you want to appear in a movie.'' This was revealed through interviews with investigators. The Metropolitan Police Department suspects that he abused his position as a movie director and is investigating the incident. In response to the investigation, he has denied the charges.

Suspect Hideo Sakaki (53), a company executive and film director from Nakahara Ward, Kawasaki City, lured a woman in her 20s who was an aspiring actor to an apartment in Tokyo's Minato Ward under the pretext of giving acting guidance eight years ago in 2016. He was arrested for assault and was sent to the public prosecutor's office on the morning of the 21st.



In response to the investigation, he denied the charges, saying, ``I have not committed the crime.''



According to the investigation so far, the suspect is believed to have lured the woman to his apartment, saying, ``Let's talk a little more about her acting'' to a woman who was participating in a workshop where he was giving acting guidance.



According to investigators, she also told him, ``Sometimes she has to get naked if she's going to be in a movie.She should try getting naked.''



At the time, the woman thought she could appear in the movie, but since then she has not appeared in the movie, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the matter, suspecting that she abused her position as a movie director.
