  According to reports, the new museum is located on the shore of Huan River, across the river from the Yinxu Ancestral Temple and Palace Area. It is the first major national archaeological museum to display Shang civilization in a panoramic manner.

  The exhibition focuses on the theme of Shang civilization, including three parts: "Exploring Shang Civilization", "Great Shang Civilization" and "Shang Dynasty in the World". It clarifies the development context of Shang civilization, displays Chinese style, Chinese characteristics and Chinese-style archeology, and explains Shang civilization. The world significance of civilization. There are four thematic exhibitions including "Where did the long hair come from - Thematic Exhibition of Ya Long Tomb in Yinxu Huayuanzhuangdongdi" and "Who is the Son - Special Exhibition of Oracle Bones in Yinxu Huayuanzhuangdongdi" and a special immersive digital exhibition. Nearly 4,000 sets of cultural relics such as bronzes, pottery, jades, oracle bones are on display. The number of cultural relics on display is large and diverse.   In recent years, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage has coordinated domestic archaeological forces to promote breakthroughs in the study of the capital pattern of the Yin Ruins. The relationship between the Yin Ruins and surrounding settlements has been further clarified, and multi-disciplinary cooperation and technological archaeological research have yielded fruitful results. As another representative masterpiece of the New Era Heritage Museum, the new museum is an important part of the Yinxu National Archaeological Site Park, a palace of civilization that expands the influence of Chinese culture, and provides a practical case for the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture. The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other institutions have specially set up an expert group for the compilation of knowledge texts for the Yin Xu Museum. They have carried out multiple field surveys and online and offline expert discussions, and comprehensively and systematically compiled millions of words of knowledge texts, providing strong academic support for the exhibitions in the new museum.
