The director noted that there are always auditions and several candidates for the role. 

At the same time, he noted that Kologrivoy’s candidacy is not bad and from the photographs he is very suitable for the role of Zhirinovsky in the film.

“But the tests are for him to play, to show that he can, how similar it is, how much it will be what we need,” Baranov emphasized.

Earlier it was reported that Nikita Kologrivy, who played the role of Kashchei in the series “The Boy’s Word,” will play Vladimir Zhirinovsky in a film about the life of the ex-leader of the LDPR.
