Affected by the cold air, from the 19th to the 21st, most areas of the province will experience cold wave weather, with temperatures "dipping", accompanied by rain, snow, sleet, thunder and lightning, freezing rain or ice pellets.

  The meteorological department predicts that in the early morning of the 20th, compared with the early morning of the 18th, the minimum temperature in most parts of Henan Province dropped by more than 10°C, including western Anyang, western Xinxiang, eastern Puyang, western Pingdingshan, eastern Kaifeng, Shangqiu, eastern Zhoukou, southern Luohe, and middle Zhumadian Some counties (cities, districts) in the east, west and south of Xinyang dropped by 12℃ to 14℃.   According to the forecast, it is expected that the minimum temperature in most parts of Henan Province will drop by 10°C to 13°C in the early morning of the 21st compared with the early morning of the 19th, including northern Jiaozuo, eastern and southern Zhengzhou, western Kaifeng, western Xuchang, eastern and southern Pingdingshan, central and southeastern Nanyang The temperature dropped by 14℃ to 16℃ in some counties (cities and districts) in central and northern Zhumadian and southern areas. In the early morning of the 21st, the lowest temperatures were minus 8℃ to minus 6℃ in the west and north, minus 3℃ to minus 1℃ in the southeast, and minus 6℃ to minus 4℃ in other counties (cities, districts). From the 19th to the 20th, the province had northerly winds of level 5 and gusts of around level 8.

  The highest temperature in Henan Province will fall below freezing on the 21st, and the low temperature is expected to continue for a long time. Taking Zhengzhou as an example, the highest temperature will remain around 0℃ from the 20th to the 24th.

  While the temperature is plummeting, large-scale rain and snow will begin on the 19th. On the 19th, light rain turned to sleet or snow in the central and western parts of Henan and northern Henan, moderate rain in the southeast, light rain turned to sleet in other counties and cities, and freezing rain or ice pellets in the western mountainous areas during some periods.

  On the 20th, there were moderate to heavy snowfall and local heavy snowfall in central and western and northern Henan. In other counties and cities, moderate to heavy rain turned to sleet or light snow, accompanied by thunder, lightning, freezing rain or ice pellets in some periods. On the 21st, there will be sleet or moderate snow in the east and south. Some counties and cities will have heavy snow and heavy snow, while other counties and cities will have light to moderate snow.

  The meteorological department reminded that this round of rain and snow is beneficial to increasing soil moisture and storing moisture, reducing the overwintering base of diseases and insect pests, and allowing wheat to grow after turning green.
