In a case in which the parents were arrested for killing their 4-year-old second daughter by making her take antipsychotic drugs, it is suspected that the second daughter was forced to take these drugs continuously for a certain period of time based on hair analysis results etc. This was revealed through interviews with investigators. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details of the incident, including determining when the drug was apparently ingested.

On the other hand, I was able to hear from someone who knows her second daughter, Miki, about how she is doing at the nursery school.

In March last year, Kenichi Hosoya (43), a company executive in Tokyo's Taito Ward, and his wife Shiho Hosoya (37) drugged their second daughter, Miki, who was 4 years old, with the antipsychotic drug olanzapine and drove her to a car. He was arrested for murdering a man by making him ingest ethylene glycol, a harmful chemical found in antifreeze.

According to the investigation so far, it appears that Shiho was taking Olanzapine, and that he had purchased it multiple times over the past year.

A subsequent investigation revealed that Miki was suspected of having been continuously ingesting this drug for a certain period of time, based on the results of her hair analysis, etc., according to interviews with investigators.

Regarding ``Olanzapine,'' experts say, ``If a young child ingests even a small amount, it may cause strong drowsiness and make them groggy.''

The Metropolitan Police Department suspects that Miki was in a state of child neglect.

She plans to investigate the details of the incident, including determining when she appears to have been forced to take the drug.

In response to the investigation, suspect Kenichi has denied the charges, and suspect Shiho has remained silent.
