China News Service, Hangzhou, February 18 (Xi Jinyan, Linnuo) The Spring Festival has come to an end, and many people have begun to return. Wang Zhitao, an engineer from Zhejiang Construction Group, spent a rare "reunion moment" with his family before embarking on the journey again. On the journey of overseas construction, we headed to the IMIP Industrial Park in Qingshan, Indonesia.

The family originally stuffed Wang Zhitao’s suitcase full of souvenirs, but because of the rush of time, they didn’t bring them with them. They only brought some cooling oil. “There are many mosquitoes in Indonesia, so bring some cooling oil. If any of my colleagues are bitten by mosquitoes, it’s okay.” Easy to handle.”

Wang Zhitao’s “trunk” is full of love for his colleagues. As an overseas builder of the "One Belt, One Road" project, Wang Zhitao has been away from home all year round, spending less time with his "little family" and being away more often. Therefore, he has already regarded his colleagues as family members.

Xuyang Weishan (Indonesia) 4.8 million tons coking project is the first project implemented by Zhejiang Industrial Equipment Installation Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhejiang Construction Group, to directly sign a contract with an Indonesian owner. Upon completion, it will drive the rapid and healthy coking industry in Indonesia and ASEAN countries. development, promote the growth of Indonesia’s international trade, and directly provide more than 1,000 local jobs.

"Post-80s" Wang Zhitao is currently the project manager of the 4.8 million-ton coking project of Xuyang Weishan (Indonesia) of Zhejiang Industrial Equipment Installation Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhejiang Installation"). In December 2022, as a practical project that actively responded to the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Zhejiang Installation attached great importance to the implementation of the Xuyang Weishan (Indonesia) 4.8 million tons coking project, and Wang Zhitao was selected to go overseas as the project manager.

Wang Zhitao joined Zhejiang Installation after graduating from university in 2005. During 18 years, he served as technician, technical leader, deputy project manager, and project manager, and successively participated in subcritical power generation, desulfurization and denitrification, biomass and waste incineration power generation, We have accumulated rich work experience in more than ten domestic and foreign projects such as molten salt energy storage, battery energy storage, and material storage yards.

When encountering difficulties during the project organization and construction process, Wang Zhitao focused on the importance of teamwork and called on team members to change from passive to active, learn while working, and work together in unity. "During the project construction process, the biggest difficulty is the lack of materials and the long resource allocation cycle." In this regard, Wang Zhitao led the project department to plan and prepare in advance and cooperated with Indonesian employees to effectively control costs and ensure the construction period.

Overseas construction projects have brought not only challenges to Wang Zhitao, but also gains. During the implementation of the project, Wang Zhitao gained a deeper understanding of how to "go global", how to "go steadily", and how to "go well".

"Building awareness is the prerequisite for 'going global', scientific organization is the guarantee for 'going steady', and strengthening management is the key to 'going steady'. Through these, a win-win situation is created." In Wang Zhitao's view, every time he sets out , all for the purpose of returning to a better place. Only when "everyone" is well, will our "little home" be better.

He also has some experience and insights on how to coordinate and manage overseas projects. "First of all, we must fully respect the local customs, live in peace with local employees, help each other, and learn from each other's strengths." "In overseas construction, travel is inconvenient due to factors such as geography and language, and life is relatively boring. Unity is very important, and full communication and discussion are required. , allowing for opinions and suggestions.”

In the new year, Wang Zhitao said: "I hope that the project will be completed and delivered to high standards as soon as possible, and I also hope that my colleagues working side by side can go home early, spend time with their families, and have a real reunion dinner. We will work together along the way." Working together, I believe 2024 will be even better!" (End)
