A nugget will be sold this morning at 11 a.m. in London at auction: one of the scripts for episode 4 of Star Wars, "A New Hope", the first film released in cinemas in 1977. A copy which belonged to Harrison Ford, famous interpreter of the character of Han Solo.

A godsend for all fans of the saga. A copy of the script for the film "Star Wars: A New Hope", the first film to be shown in cinemas in 1977, will be auctioned this Saturday morning in London. A copy which would have belonged to Harrison Ford, interpreter of Han Solo.

A manuscript estimated between 9 and 14,000 euros

The actor would have left this precious script in the London apartment he rented in 1976, to be closer to the filming of Star Wars. However, the script depicts the traits of his mythical character: Han Solo. Indeed, the cynical smuggler, future husband of Princess Leia, always accompanied by his hairy sidekick, Chewbaca, appears for the first time in this film.

Video games, comics: Star Wars is not just cinema!

A “lucky” role for Harrison Ford who was going through a lean period and was preparing to abandon cinema for carpentry. This annotated manuscript, estimated between 9,000 and 14,000 euros, was recovered by the owners of the apartment and kept for almost 50 years until this Saturday morning. Offered by Excalibur Auctions, the British auction house is expecting a lot of potential buyers from all over the world. And she is obviously expecting a lot of Star Wars fans.
