Two teenagers have been charged after the fatal shooting at the Super Bowl parade in the US state of Missouri. US media reported this unanimously on Friday, citing the responsible family court.

The two teenagers are therefore in custody in a juvenile detention center. They are accused of weapons offenses and resisting the police.

A 43-year-old woman was killed by gunfire on Wednesday on the sidelines of a parade honoring the American football team Kansas City Chiefs. More than 20 other people were injured, including children and young people.

According to police, the shooting was preceded by an argument between several people. For many Americans, the fear of gun violence is a constant companion at large events.
