After a woman was attacked with an ax in Hesse, the suspected perpetrator was arrested. The woman's 46-year-old ex-husband was caught during a manhunt in Bosnia, the police announced on Friday. He is now to be extradited to Germany.
After the attack on Wednesday, the man is said to have fled the crime scene in Ober-Ramstadt (Darmstadt-Dieburg district) in his car. According to initial findings, the 46-year-old is said to have hit his ex-wife, the same age, with an axe. The woman was significantly injured in the attack. She is still in hospital, but her condition is stable, it said.
