The famous French actor

Gérard Barray

has died at the age of 92 in the Malaga town of Marbella, where he lived since the late 1970s with his wife, the also Sevillian actress and dancer

Teresa Lorca,

the son of both, Julian Barray.

Barray's death occurred this Thursday at the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella, and he will be given his final farewell this Sunday at twelve noon in the San Bernabé cemetery in this town in Malaga.

Gérard Barray and Teresa Lorca met during the filming of a film in what was then Czechoslovakia and moved to Marbella in 1979, where they acquired premises in the Puente Romano hotel, explained Julian Barray.

Gérard Barray initially achieved fame in his country thanks to his performance in the play

, and later participated as a swordsman in several action films of the swashbuckling genre.

Another of the most notable roles of his career was that of Inspector San Antonio, a crime genre title from 1966. He also participated in Alejandro Amenábar's film 'Abre los ojos' (1997).
