In a case in which parents were arrested for killing their 4-year-old second daughter by ingesting harmful chemicals, the Metropolitan Police Department analyzed smartphones and other items confiscated and found a history of searches for information on the effects of chemicals on the human body. This was revealed through interviews with investigators.

In March last year, Kenichi Hosoya (43), a company executive in Tokyo's Taito Ward, and his wife Shiho Hosoya (37) exposed their second daughter, 4-year-old Miki, to harmful substances contained in car antifreeze. He was arrested on suspicion of murdering her by ingesting the chemical ``ethylene glycol'' and the antipsychotic drug ``olanzapine,'' and was sent to the public prosecutor's office on the 16th.

Investigations so far have revealed that the Metropolitan Police Department searched his home in August last year and analyzed the smartphones and computers he seized, and found that he had purchased ``ethylene glycol'' and ``olanzapine'' multiple times over the Internet over the past year. I know.

Furthermore, according to investigators, there was also a history of searches for information on the effects of these chemicals and drugs on the human body.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the possibility that the drug may have been ingested after confirming the risks, including the appearance of symptoms of poisoning.

In response to the investigation, suspect Kenichi has denied the charges, and suspect Shiho has remained silent.
