China News Service, Taizhou, February 16 (Fu Feiyang, Li Jianing) As thousands of families celebrate the Spring Festival, there are always people who sacrifice their family reunion and stick to their ordinary jobs. This year, Lin Haiwei, an electricity worker on Shepan Island in Sanmen County, Taizhou, Zhejiang, celebrated his 30th island Spring Festival.

A single bed and several cardboard boxes containing work clothes, this is all Lin Haiwei's possessions on Shepan Island. When he gets up every day, he first goes to the computer to check the day's fault repair reports. Whenever there is a power support task, Lin Haiwei will rush to the scene as soon as possible to replace faulty equipment.

Lin Haiwei is not a resident of Shepan Island. Standing on the pier, his home is on the opposite bank, but he lives on the island more than 300 days a year. "If I go home and the villagers encounter electricity problems and cannot find me, they will stand at the pier waiting for me. Therefore, I think it is better to live on the island. It is more convenient to help when encountering problems." Lin Haiwei said.

This stay lasts for 30 years. Lin Haiwei knows very well where the key points and weak points of power supply are for the 21 public transformers, 82 dedicated transformers, and more than 560 households on Shepan Island. As he walks on the road, every villager will greet him. Maybe everyone doesn't know the power service hotline, but they all have Lin Haiwei's phone number.

"When we called him, he came right away." "When we need him, no matter it rains or snows, he will come." When talking about Lin Haiwei, the villagers' words were full of praise for him. Trust and appreciate.

Unlike other electricians, Lin Haiwei always carries a small wrench in his tool bag - Shepan Island is the main producing area of Sanmen blue crabs, with 25,000 acres of breeding ponds. It is also Lin Haiwei's important job to provide services to the farmers. The wrench is specially used to repair the aeration pump of the breeding pond.

During the Spring Festival holiday, Lin Haiwei received a call for help from a farmer. It turns out that it is the harvest season for shrimps and razor clams, but the oxygen pump cannot be turned on. Lin Haiwei took out a wrench to check and found that the short circuit was caused by seawater corrosion, and the fault was quickly solved.

"If there is a lack of oxygen in the shrimp pond, the losses will be great, but when I hear Master Lin (Lin Haiwei)'s car horn, I feel relieved." Shepan Island farmer Shao Shengfeng said.

For thirty years, Lin Haiwei's dedication has also infected people around him. This year, three colleagues took the initiative to stay and work with him to protect the New Year holiday for the residents of the island. "We all admire Master Lin for being able to persist on the island for so long, and I will continue to stay here like him." Ding Zhengzhong, an employee at the Shepan Service Station of the Jiantiao Power Supply Station of the State Grid Sanmen County Power Supply Company, was interviewed express. (over)
