The police union (GdP) is calling for a ban on tractors during demonstrations. “The assembly authorities and the police must react immediately and ban tractors at meetings,” said the union’s chairman, Jochen Kopelke, to the “Rheinische Post”. The police will consistently enforce such a ban.

“We pointed out the dangers of tractors and tractors and appealed to common sense when protesting,” Kopelke continued. According to the newspaper, he said that the fact that French conditions were now spilling over into Germany could not be tolerated.

After massive protests and blockades by farmers, among others, the Greens canceled their political Ash Wednesday event in Biberach, Baden-Württemberg. The reason: security concerns. Dozens of honking tractors also took part in the protests. Farmers have been blocking roads and access roads repeatedly for weeks because they are dissatisfied with agricultural policy.
