Jennifer Lopez says she was very shocked when she was recognized in public for the first time. "I remember walking down the street and someone called my name and I thought it was someone who knew me," the 54-year-old told the US magazine "Variety." "And I turned around and didn't recognize the person."

The 1997 film drama “Selena” brought her a “new level of fame,” she said. »I was so shocked. I thought to myself, 'Oh God, I'm not anonymous anymore. I can't just walk down the street anymore.'” Meeting fans was “a big change” for her. “But then you get used to it and accept it.”

Lopez's new album "This is Me ... Now" will be released this Friday. A new film called “This is Me Now: A Love Story” premiered in Hollywood on Tuesday.
