Al Jazeera reported on the residents' attempts to recover the bodies of Al-Rafati, his brother's wife, and his brother's three children, all of them children, from under the rubble of the destroyed house, and the remains of a small child appeared under the rubble.
Al-Rafati was a regular guest on Al Jazeera during the war, and his last appearance was a few hours before his martyrdom.
