The Israeli occupation army commits massacres in Rafah amid international inability to stop the extermination of civilians in Gaza (Getty)

What if you lived in Gaza after everything that happened? Captive in an open prison, on a small piece of land, with two million other people, with nowhere to go. Then half of this land was occupied by Israel, your home was destroyed, and the entire population was deported to the Rafah area..

When the Rafah area, which they considered safe, was bombed and nearly a hundred civilians were killed the day before, I thought to myself, what are the Palestinians there thinking?

  • Nearly 30,000 civilians were killed and tens of thousands injured.

  • They took refuge in hospitals, and were killed there.

  • They took refuge in churches and mosques, and were killed there as well.

  • They were killed in lines for water and bread.

  • They shot children as they walked in the street.

The wounded, sick and elderly die before their eyes; Due to lack of medicine and food. Food aid is prevented from entering by the occupying Israeli settlers.

There is no place to run, no place to hide, no one to extend a helping hand... No country in the world can help them. No one can stop this massacre. So, what is this Palestinian thinking now?

“Does Gabriel have to come down from heaven to help us?” I think he's thinking about that.

What are our leaders waiting for?

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation met yesterday and condemned the attacks on the Rafah area, and called on the United Nations and the United States to stop the attacks. Thats all about it. They did not talk about the blockade, the peacekeeping force, or taking the initiative.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden apparently warned Israel and signed a decree to stop terrorism caused by the occupying settlers. And the result? Nothing has changed. After these formal statements, Israel bombed the Rafah area.

The European Union and the United Kingdom condemned the killing of civilians in Gaza and opposed turning Gaza into an uninhabited zone. The result: nothing has changed either.

China and Russia did nothing considering the balances in the world. So what more needs to happen? How could this human tragedy get any worse? What must happen for humans to move? I believe that all that remains is for Gabriel, peace be upon him, to descend from heaven and warn humanity. I can't explain it any other way.

Massacre became commonplace

I follow foreign media. Until three days ago, each was broadcasting news about developments in its own area. Turkish media also focused on local elections, and news about Gaza took a backseat. Even the killing of nearly a hundred civilians in the attack that took place in the Rafah area barely became news in the world.

In 2015, when the Charlie Hebdo newspaper in France was subjected to an armed attack in which 11 people were killed, all world leaders gathered in Paris and marched side by side. But in the face of the killing of nearly 30,000 people in Gaza, not to mention a march, no leader in Europe said a single word to stop this massacre. Only civilians living in Europe bravely protested in the streets against Israel.

European leaders walk side by side and join hands against any attack in their countries, but why did our Islamic countries not undertake such a march? Why didn't they raise their voices enough to wake up the world? Instead, marches in support of Palestine were banned in some Muslim countries. What are our leaders waiting for to stop this genocide? I think they are waiting for Gabriel to come down from heaven and warn us.
