  Guan Xin, a 23-year-old on-board mechanic, is a sunny and handsome young man born in the 2000s who lives in Yakeshi, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia. After graduating from university in 2021, he came to work at the Harbin EMU of Harbin Bureau Group Co., Ltd. This year is his second Spring Festival on the bus. When the G1276 Fuxing EMU bound for Wuhan Station slowly pulled out of the platform, he followed the train in the opposite direction of home to escort more passengers to travel safely during the Spring Festival.

  After the 2023 Spring Festival exam and the job training in the past year, Guan Xin felt a little more relaxed mentally during this year's Spring Festival. “Before the Spring Festival travel rush, Duanhe workshop once again conducted on-vehicle simulation training for us.   In the car, Guan Xin held the inspection instrument and strictly implemented the operating standards, not missing a small safety hazard. As he walked, he carefully checked and confirmed every electrical cabinet, luggage rack, electric tea stove and other equipment and facilities in the carriage to confirm whether they were working well. From time to time, he moved his hands on the ground and listened closely to see if there was any looseness or abnormal noise. In the monitoring room, check whether the door interface, pantograph screen, etc. monitored by the display screen are functioning well.

  As the passenger flow during the Spring Festival continues to increase, in order to meet the travel needs of passengers, Harbin Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has assigned 7 new sets of Fuxing high-cold intelligent EMUs during the Spring Festival this year. Currently, the Harbin EMU section is responsible for a total of 13 sets of Fuxing train maintenance and transportation tasks. There are a total of 16 post-2000 vehicle-mounted mechanics in this section's workshop responsible for Spring Festival travel. Among them, there are 3 "all-round" vehicle-mounted mechanics with qualifications for Fuxing, Type 3 and Type 5 vehicles. Guan Xin is one of them. Their average age is 22.4 years old, but they have already shouldered the task of crossing 16 routes in Shanghai, Wuhan, Taiyuan, Nanjing, etc., and have become the safety "guards" on the way home during the Spring Festival.

  "Compared with Type 3 and Type 5 vehicles, the Fuxing high-cold intelligent EMU runs faster. It has many sophisticated hardware equipment and more intelligent operation control methods. This requires us to Be more careful. Compared with Harmony, Fuxing has many different emergency response operations. The smart screen in the mechanic's room integrates all technical information such as train traction, braking, passenger information, bogies, water supply and drainage systems, etc. , the main display screen has changed from the original text information to an image dynamic display, which requires proficiency in new high-speed rail technology. When picking up the train and monitoring operations during the journey, these areas need to be inspected more carefully," Guan Xin said.

  At 14:00, Guan Xin began his fourth inspection on the way. He inspects the vehicle every two hours to ensure that the equipment and facilities are in good condition. When he inspected the location of the electric tea stove in Car 02, he saw the fault light of the electric tea stove flashing. Based on his accumulated work experience, he immediately inspected the appearance of the tea stove. After analyzing and finding the fault point, he performed inspections on the key circuit breaker. Once reset, the fault is eliminated immediately. For safety reasons, he focused on inspecting the tea stoves in other carriages to ensure that the overall equipment was in good condition before leaving the place and continuing to patrol forward.

  At 21:50, the EMU arrived at Wuhan Station steadily. Guan Xin looked at the smiling faces of the passengers as they left the carriage with their luggage and packages, and felt a surge of emotion in his heart.
