Account public information shows that the name of "Tietou" is "Tietou punishes evil and promotes good" and is from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Starting in March 2023, the 37-year-old began to make anti-counterfeiting videos, exposing chaos in the Sanya seafood market, elderly health care products, etc., which attracted widespread attention from netizens. Its account has 5.18 million fans on the Douyin platform. According to a post posted by a netizen, "Tietou" revealed his pornography experience during a live broadcast at 1:30 a.m. on January 12, which triggered reports and boycotts from netizens. On January 12, the official Weibo of the Beijing Citizen Hotline Service Center @Beijing12345 replied to netizens saying that they would verify and assign the case. On January 17, Chengdu 110 hotline staff responded to relevant inquiries and stated that they would verify and deal with it. On January 19, several of its platform accounts were banned.
On February 11, a reporter from The Paper saw that the account "Tietou Punishes Evil and Promotes Good" had 5.18 million fans on the Douyin platform, and currently showed that "the account has been banned." The Kuaishou platform also shows that "the account has been banned and is temporarily unavailable." The Weibo account shows that "this account is now unavailable due to complaints that it violated laws and regulations and the relevant provisions of the Weibo Community Convention."
The Paper reporter saw that on February 9, "Tietou" issued a video response to the ban through "Tietou's only account", saying that his Kuaishou account, WeChat video account and other accounts had been banned by the platform, and his Douyin account had also been banned. It has become a digital account and the works have been deleted.
