“I’m tired, I’m leaving” - this is the phrase many Americans really, really want to hear from their current decrepit President Joseph Biden. A man who communicates with dead politicians - French President Francois Mitterrand and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. A man who constantly confuses current heads of state, turning Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi into the President of Mexico. A person who already forgets the details of his own biography. And at the same time, a man who is nominally the head of one of the two largest nuclear powers.

Not only ordinary people, but also supervisory authorities are talking about Biden’s dementia. Thus, special prosecutor Robert Gur, who investigated the story surrounding Biden’s improper storage of classified documents, ultimately decided not to bring charges against the president. Simply because, as the prosecutor said, Biden is “an elderly man with a poor memory.”

And this, of course, was commented on by many media outlets, and they commented in a mocking tone. “How can Biden be worthy of the presidency if he is incompetent to be tried? If Biden is re-elected, should the official oath of office be changed to include "to faithfully serve as President of the United States" with "for as long as I remember being President"? - writes the New York Post.

It is not surprising that only 40% of Americans approve of Biden's performance and only 24% believe that under him the country is moving in the right direction. However, with such numbers, Biden is not going to leave. Moreover, the current head of state is going to run for a second term and participate in the elections that will be held in November 2024.

For the Democratic Party, this nomination could be a disaster: it risks losing not only the White House, but also its advantage in the Senate. Everyone understands that Biden will not withstand the intense race that will begin in the summer, when candidates will have to make several public appearances in different cities in one day. That Biden will not survive a debate against Trump - simply because he will get confused in his own speech.

It would seem that nothing could be simpler. The Democratic Party (which is on the verge of losing power because of its president) should simply change the donkey in midstream. Replace Biden with another candidate. For example, current Vice President Kamala Harris. Or former first lady Michelle Obama. Or California Governor Gavin Newsom.

In fact, the American press is already actively writing about the possibility of such a castling. However, at this particular moment the Democratic Party denies it. The party is “united in supporting President Biden, who will become its nominee this fall and ensure that Donald Trump loses for a second time this November,” a Biden campaign spokesman said.

And the position of the Democrats - seemingly illogical - can be explained very simply. They would probably really like to remove Biden, but there are at least several serious stoppers on the way to this removal.

First, Biden's personal position. Yes, the President of the United States does not walk, think or speak well, but he stubbornly refuses to resign and wants to run for a second term. And in this case, according to the current political tradition, the party must support the president.

Of course, this is not a law, but a tradition. In theory, party leaders could step up and withhold support from Biden. However, and this is second, the president enjoys significant support from the electorate. Almost 72% of Democratic voters believe that Biden should run as the party's candidate.

Yes, he's a poor thinker. Yes, he's a bad speaker. Yes, regularly confused. But very experienced, respectable and, most importantly, centrist. That is, a Red Book representative in the Democratic Party.

The fact is - and this is the third thing - that almost all potential candidates from the Democratic Party are even worse than the conspiratorial grandfather Biden. Michelle Obama, in politics and business, has never led more than her husband in her life. And if she was able to put him under her thumb, this does not mean that she will also be able to govern the state (whoever does not believe can look at the history of Hillary Clinton). Vice President Kamala Harris, of course, nominally governed, but she failed to cope with any task that was given to her. Not with the migration issue, not with anything. It's no surprise that her ratings are even worse than Biden's. Only 35% of Americans are satisfied with Kamala Harris's work.

Fourthly, the replacement should have been done earlier - before the start of the primaries. To get a new party candidate through the ballot in the States. Yes, theoretically, the Democrats may well appoint him in the summer, at a party rally. But this will be an appointment by the elite, and not a choice of democratic voters, which Donald Trump will not fail to constantly talk about, thereby positioning his democratic opponent as a candidate who does not enjoy legitimacy and was appointed to the elections by the Washington establishment.

Finally, fifthly, part of the Democratic establishment probably considers Biden, who is falling into dementia, to be a completely convenient candidate. A nominal head of state who can be easily controlled. As for his possible problems in the elections, there is control over the courts (which can print Trump’s verdict in cases of treason) or, as a last resort, postal voting, which will allow drawing the necessary numbers in the necessary states.

We already did it - it worked.
