``Kandarajiru'' is a local winter dish from the Shonai region of Yamagata Prefecture, made by stewing cod caught in the Sea of ​​Japan in winter with all the meat and bones left in miso.



On the 12th, Yamagata City held a ``Kandara Matsuri'' where you could enjoy this cold dara soup, and many people, including families, gathered at the venue in front of Yamagata Station.



Starting just before 11 a.m., ``Kandarajiru'' made by the women's division of the Yamagata Prefecture Fisheries Cooperative and others went on sale for 700 yen per cup. I was tasting "Darajiru".



A man in his 50s who visited with his family said, ``Eating it during this cold season warms your body, and the flavor is rich and delicious.I'm happy because I don't have many opportunities to eat it inland.''

Toshihiko Sato, manager of Yamagata Prefecture's Fisheries Promotion Division, said, ``We want people living inland to enjoy the cold dara soup, which is packed with the goodness of Shonai Beach, and we want to expand the consumption of seafood.''
