Around 10 a.m. on the 11th, the fire department received a report that a fire was coming out of an apartment building in Futaba, Shinagawa Ward.



According to the Tokyo Fire Department, the fire broke out on the second floor of a five-story apartment building, and 24 fire trucks and other vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire.



The fire burned an area of ​​approximately 15 square meters in one room on the second floor, but the fire was mostly extinguished just after 11 a.m.



At one point, three people were unable to escape from the house at the scene, but one person evacuated on his own and two people were rescued by the fire department. All three people were taken to the hospital with injuries, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.



The site is located approximately 300 meters northwest of JR Nishi-Oi Station, in an area lined with residential buildings.

White smoke was rising from the second floor of the five-story building, and multiple fire trucks were assembled to extinguish the fire. They were also filmed rescuing residents from the third floor of the building.



According to a man in his 40s who lives near where the photo was taken, he was rescuing two people, a man and a woman, who were then transported by ambulance.



The man said, ``As I was taking a walk, I noticed smoke and a burning smell, and ash was falling, so I thought it was a fire, so I took a picture.I couldn't see any flames, but there was a lot of smoke rising. I'm worried because the housing is so crowded."
