In the more than 20 years since graduation, Wang Gang has witnessed the continuous increase in the total mileage of China's railway operations, and the network of China's high-speed railways has become denser and denser.

  "New models and new processes are constantly emerging, and we also need to continue to learn and master new skills in a timely manner. As soon as a new car arrives, our eyes are blank, and we have to learn from scratch." In order to become familiar with the process as soon as possible, Wang Gang often does maintenance during the day. , go around the new car to get familiar with the situation, and after get off work, continue to study by comparing the drawings with memory.   The operational maintenance of high-speed rail is divided into first-level maintenance and second-level maintenance. The first-level maintenance is mainly daily inspection, which is mostly carried out at night, and the maintenance frequency is relatively high; the second-level maintenance is an in-depth inspection, which is often carried out during the day. "When the high-speed rail's driving distance reaches 100,000 kilometers or the driving time reaches 45 days, it needs to return to the high-speed train operating station for a secondary repair. It can be understood as a private car going to a 4S store for maintenance." He said.

  Wang Gang said, "Currently, the number of secondary maintenance and inspections at Hangzhou West Railway Station is basically one group a day, and the number of first-level maintenance and inspections is about nine to ten groups. The first-level maintenance and inspection personnel on the night shift usually start roll call at around 7 p.m. , the work ends at three or four in the morning. If the workload is heavy that day, the end time will be postponed to five or six in the morning."

  This year's heavy snow reminded Wang Gang of a New Year's Eve he had experienced. That year, Wang Gang and his colleagues planned to finish work as soon as possible on New Year's Eve, but the "Snowpiercer" returning from other provinces disrupted their plans.

  "When the car came back, the bogies were full of snow. It took the team most of the day to clear the snow from the bogies. After the snow was removed, we completed the maintenance work until late at night. We were having New Year's Eve dinner with our families. The plan can only be cancelled. This situation is not uncommon and old employees are used to it," Wang Gang said.
