In February, the annual Orchid Festival takes place again in London's extensive Kew Gardens. Before it can begin, the stars of the festivity must of course first be judged. Mother nature is good, control is better.

Displaced Palestinian children who fled to the south of the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks take part in entertainment activities. Such activities serve to protect the mental health of children and are organized by local activists - in this case in a school run by the United Nations relief agency UNRWA in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. In recent days, Israel has announced plans to attack Rafah, the southernmost corner of the Gaza Strip.

Do aaaah!

This visitor to Manila Ocean Park is fascinated by the sight of a stingray. There are several rows of teeth in its mouth. If one tooth falls out at the front, the next one comes in from behind. Stingrays do have multiple rows of revolver teeth in common with sharks, but unlike them, stingrays do not have razor-sharp teeth. They are more oval shaped. The cartilaginous fish therefore crack mussel shells with the strength of their jaw muscles.
